Program Under development 2021
Our programs are targeted to youth in Northwestern Ontario and Indigenous Youth in the northern communities and here in Thunder Bay. We have found our programs to be engaging and effective, yet we knew that we could do more to support the Youth we serve.
All of our Youth Support Services involve follow ups and on-going supports to help ensure successful outcomes. This is a new key strategy as we move forward - changing lives and saving lives is not a sometime thing...it is an all time thing.
In 2021 after we redesigned our programs, we looked at how we could better serve Youth with in the region and here in Thunder Bay whether they are from the city or from a Northern Community. So we will be expanding our services to include:
Youth Support Services (New - under development)
Food Supports
Nutrition Program: - Emergency Meals, Emergency Food Hampers,
Personal Supports
Support Program: Weekly Follow up supports (Zoom, Phone and social distance In-person home visits)
Peer to Peer Supports: Peer Mentoring Program, Leadership training and opportunities,
Outreach Program: Frontline supports for the homeless, sex trade workers, runaways, human trafficking, etc.
Volunteer Program: (Opportunities to volunteer at various places within the community, virtual and in-person with-in health and safety protocols
Employment Supports: Training and Referrals
Documentation Supports: - Status Cards, ID (Birth Certificates, Social Insurance Number, Health Card) Personal Taxes,
