Cassidy Houston
Cassidy Houston, Metis singer-songwriter, grew up in small town Northwestern Ontario.
A music lover early on, music became a bright spot in Cassidy's life. Piano lessons from a young age, led to singing, guitar and eventually song-writing. Cassidy began her singing career through community events and later carried on to the bigger stages of the Live from the Rock Folk Festival and also with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. These allowed her to immerse herself in an eclectic musical culture opening her eyes to a variety of styles.
With her distinct voice and acoustic outtake on music, Cassidy brings elements of pop and alternative music to both her original and various cover songs. Cassidy plans to hone her musical abilities through further exploration of her folk musicality.
Cassidy is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Laurentian University. No matter how busy at school she gets she continues to keep music a part of her life and writes music in her free time.
